'Planet of the Apes' Prequel Rears its Ugly Head - When the credits finally rolled on Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes remake back in 2001, I was in shock. The film was such a disaster that I was sure a sequel would never show its ugly face. I guess I was kind of right... I learned this week through a regular tipster that a PREQUEL to the remake is officially out to writers and directors. Apparently the apes will return... and just like in the movie, there will be no humans there to see it. Case closed.
