Let the Strike Begin... Just How Bad Will We Suffer?

Let the Strike Begin... Just How Bad Will We Suffer? - There's something really big going down here in Los Angeles that most of you probably aren't aware of. It was reported at weeks end that the WGA announced that its 12,000 members will go on strike Monday against studios and networks in the first major work stoppage in two decades. What exactly does this mean? Well, no new films can be written by anyone in the WGA so long as they're on strike. How long will it last? Some say a day, some say a week, some say through Christmas and others say an entire six months. The news that a strike was coming has been in the air for months now as studios have being acquiring crappy films from festivals and green-lighting projects before even seeing the finished scripts. This means one of two things... we're going to see a lot of sh-tty films next year, or we're going to see a lot of magic now that the suits must accept whatever is on paper - no over thinking or over tinkering allowed! If you want to know more about the strike, read on, otherwise sit back and hope for the best.
