Box Office Bombs, Mr. Disgusting Responds - P2 (review) opens at #8 with only $2.2 million in 2,131 theaters; After Dark Horrorfest (reviews) opens at #25 with only $512,000 in 323 theaters. ItÂ's safe to say that this weekend was a major disaster for our genre. Both the AFTER DARK HORRORFEST and P2 bombed, and they bombed badly – but the real tragedy isnÂ't their bank accounts, itÂ's our beloved genre. There will be plenty of excuses thrown around over the course of the next week, but before the BS circulates IÂ'd like to give my opinion on the situation. Read on for the skinny.
