About Those Robert Englund Rumors... - Ever since we broke the news (and it was confirmed) that New Line Cinema would be remaking A Nightmare on Elm Street, speculation has blasted on the web on whether or not Robert Englund will return as Freddy Krueger in the film, being produced by Platinum Dunes. One website reports that he'll return, while another claims he won't. A lot of times different parties don't see eye-to-eye, which could be the case here, but OUR sources tell us that not only is it too early to tell (no writers attached yet), but it is still quite possible that Englund could return in some way shape or form - creative meetings haven't even begun as of yet. Watch for official news in the coming months and watch this spot for any updates as they come in.
