'Cloverfield' Sequel Talk Officially Begins... - With Paramount Pictures' Cloverfield (three reviews) already set to break the record for MLK weekend - $16 million Friday with $40 mil weekend estimate - Bloody-Disgusting has learned via a regular insider that talk of a sequel to the giant monster movie is already in progress. In the film a giant monster - and parasites from it's back - appear in New York City and completely decimate it. There is also chatter amongst our board members that "something" happens in the final frame of the movie that hints at the progression - although we missed it. If the sequel ever comes into fruition we have some suggestions for the title: Son of Cloverfield, Cloverfield vs. the Smog Monster, Cloverfield Attacks!, Cloverfield vs the World, Four Leaf Cloverfield, Cloverfieldy or maybe Cloverfield Attacks Japan!
