Sundance 08: Magnolia Pictures Acquires 'Donkey Punch' - Well that took long enough, seriously! FINALLY a Sundance horror film has been acquired after a few weeks of silence. It was announced today that Magnolia Pictures has acquired Olly Blackburn's UK teen-thriller Donkey Punch (review) and will release it through their Magnet Releasing label. No word yet on if it'll go theatrical or direct-to-video. The film centers on the freak death of a partygoer on a luxury yacht in the Mediterranean and the conflict that arises among the surviving passengers.
